Cab Calloway School of the Arts Band Program

Cab Calloway Percussion

The Cab Calloway Percussion section is under the direction of Tyree Miller. The Percussion section is a part of the CCSA Instrumental Music Department and consists of an Outdoor and Indoor program.

 

The Outdoor program is part of the CCSA Spirit Marching Band, competing in the Tournament Of Bands (TOB) circuit in Group 4 during the fall.

 

The Indoor program, which takes place during the winter/spring season, competes in the Scholastic Open Class of TOB's Tournament Indoor Association (TIA), Mid-Atlantic Percussion Society (MAPS), and Winter Guard International (WGI). 

 

Both programs consist of a Battery (Drumline) which includes marching snare, quads, bass and cymbals, and a Front Ensemble (Pit) which includes mallet and auxiliary percussion.
